2016 STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET

The 2016 state cross country meet will be held at Rebecca Farm several miles west of Kalispell. Go to rebeccafarm.org for a view of what goes on there. The farm hosts a world class equestrian event that many top riders from around the country attend. Some riders actually fly their horses into the event. The management of the farm have graciously allowed Flathead Cross Country to host all their meets on the grounds. If you attend our invitational or the state meet don't expect golf course manicured lawns. The grass will be longer than the average golf course and there will be some rough ground. We are doing everything we can to make the surface suitable as a running surface and appropriate for a state meet. I would compare the course to what you might find in Europe. It will be a true cross country course. We will double flag the entire course. The course is not difficult-meaning that the hills only gain 50 to 60 feet in elevation. The course consists of two loops. The parking will not be a problem. We have a large field where most of the vehicles will be parked. We have a great place for team tents. The tents will be situated just across a road very close to the starting line. We have hosted three invitational meets on the course with very few complaints.
